Magical Whip Review - Let's whip some enemies!

Magical Whip
DSiWare
1 Player
Price: $1.99
Blocks: 47

Its a boss!
In Magical Whip you are lost in the Phantasmal Forest and there are monsters in the forest. Two young wizards know only one spell, the magical whip spell, and you the player must use this magical whip to whip all of the enemies.

This game uses both of the DSi's/3DS's screens to form one huge playing field. Once you choose weather you want to play as the boy wizard or the girl wizard you start on the first stage of the game. From here you can jump, or use your magical whip.

There are two different lengths of the magical whip. If you choose the shorter length then it will only use a little bit of your magic meter. However if you use the larger length spell to attack at a greater distance then it will use up a lot of your magic. If you run out've magic then you have to wait until it recharges until you can use the magical whip again which could be the difference between life and death!

Its tougher than it looks.
The objective of the game is to use your magical whip to whip all of the enemies. But you will have to act fast the enemies grow in numbers and as they get tougher. There are 50 stages, some of them involvng challenging bosses and to get your score on the local leader board you have to beat all the enemies in all 50 stages. With only 3 lives and only a few continues this is no easy feat.

Another thing is that there is no quick save in this game. Meaning Magical Whip is not a very portable friendly game. Of course you can always put the game in sleep mode but not being able to exit the game until you die or beat all 50 stages is kinda a drag.

+Very challenging game for the hardcore.
+Fun gameplay
-No quick save
