Paper Airplane Chase Review - Whatever you do don't hit a wall.

Paper Airplane Chase
DSiWare
Players: 1-2 (On same system)
Price: $1.99
Blocks: 12

Paper Airplane Chase is a "Get a highest score as possible" game where you use the left and right D-Pad buttons to fly a paper airplane around obstacles in a endless array of obstacles.
This is where it begins. Its never gonna end till you hit something.

Its a very fun game that will make you wanna dodge the obstacles so that you won't die...

In addition to the regular mode where you compete for a high score there are also eight time trial levels where you beat a level (thats not endless) in certain amount of time.

In addition to that there are also eight race levels where you and another person can race each other on the same system. Player one takes the top screen and the D-Pad while player two takes the bottom screen and uses the Y and A buttons to steer their paper plane.

Two player madness!
Unfortunately like most DS downloads this game does not have online leader boards. It would've been nice to have them here.

This game was the very first game I downloaded on my DSi back when it launched and it still holds a top spot in my pick up and play titles on the 3DS.

+Fun pick up and play title.
+You'll want to keep trying to get a better score on endless or a better time on the timed levels.
+Fun two player mode.
-No online leader boards.

Magical Whip Review - Let's whip some enemies!

Magical Whip
DSiWare
1 Player
Price: $1.99
Blocks: 47

Its a boss!
In Magical Whip you are lost in the Phantasmal Forest and there are monsters in the forest. Two young wizards know only one spell, the magical whip spell, and you the player must use this magical whip to whip all of the enemies.

This game uses both of the DSi's/3DS's screens to form one huge playing field. Once you choose weather you want to play as the boy wizard or the girl wizard you start on the first stage of the game. From here you can jump, or use your magical whip.

There are two different lengths of the magical whip. If you choose the shorter length then it will only use a little bit of your magic meter. However if you use the larger length spell to attack at a greater distance then it will use up a lot of your magic. If you run out've magic then you have to wait until it recharges until you can use the magical whip again which could be the difference between life and death!

Its tougher than it looks.
The objective of the game is to use your magical whip to whip all of the enemies. But you will have to act fast the enemies grow in numbers and as they get tougher. There are 50 stages, some of them involvng challenging bosses and to get your score on the local leader board you have to beat all the enemies in all 50 stages. With only 3 lives and only a few continues this is no easy feat.

Another thing is that there is no quick save in this game. Meaning Magical Whip is not a very portable friendly game. Of course you can always put the game in sleep mode but not being able to exit the game until you die or beat all 50 stages is kinda a drag.

+Very challenging game for the hardcore.
+Fun gameplay
-No quick save

Sudoku Review - Its a Sudoku review.

Sudoku (EA version)
DSiWare
Players: 1
Price: $1.99
Blocks: 28

See? Its a sudoku game.
Sudoku by Electronic Arts is well...a Sudoku game.

There is a 9 by 9 field of numbers. The object of the game is to fill in the blank pieces by not matching each vertical, horizontal, and and box of numbers. (Ok I suck at explaining Sudoku.)

You can choose between a easy, medium, or hard randomly generated puzzle. The games in game stats keep track of how many puzzles you have played and how many points you racked up. (You get points by not getting any errors on a puzzle.)

Theres modes to let you enter your own sudoku and solve it. Unfortunately you can't save the puzzles after you beat them.

Overall if your into sudoku, or if your looking to get into it then this is a great game to take on the go. There are quite a few other sudoku games on DSiWare but I can't compare them since I see no reason to buy another version. Until a 3D version comes along that is...

+ Its fun if you like Sudoku.
-Can't save your own Sudoku puzzles and replay them.
